The other day, I received an email from NovaUCD, the technology center where VideoCrisp office is that Ray Suarez, the famous journalist with PBS NewsHour is doing a piece about Ireland and particularly how it got out of recession with the help of budding entrepreneurs. Ray would like to meet with a company in Nova and from a long list of startups based here, they decided to pick VideoCrisp.

I was obliged and honestly, a bit surprised. We have start-ups here in Nova which have raised over $10 million in investment and are in business for over 6-7 years and to be chosen among  them was really thrilling, to be least. Probably it was because we are a tech start-up, founded by an expat and is in cloud & video sectors, the two BIG buzz words in the start-up industry these days.

The interview or should I say informal chat was mainly about Ireland, the deep recession it got into, VideoCrisp, its story and the reasoning behind starting the company in Ireland.
